COPING WITH THE ‘MONDAY’ FEVER
Yeah! Its
Monday again! Are you happy it’s
a Monday? Well if you are not, there is little or nothing you can do about it.
Life has to go on.
For most
people,
having to start Monday with the thought of working the entire week all over
again can be really challenging. Many will trade valuables not to repeat that
trend.
Clearly, not everyone like their jobs so
if you are one of those who do not, maybe you need to think of leaving it.
Having to go through another 5 days of the same hectic/boring or
interesting/challenging thing sucks right?
My worst day is Sunday night and my favourite day is Friday. We all have reasons why we
detest Mondays. 8 out of 10 people conceive an atom of dislike for Mondays ; especially those who have to wake up very early to beat the Lagos traffic.
We dance shakushaku on Friday night and fast-forward to
Sunday night we start developing mood swings. Swift preparations surface. The
drycleaner shows up at your door-step. For bachelors, meals start visiting the
freezers. You lay on the bed and start reminiscing about how shots followed
shots at the bar and how you rocked the beach with the crew.
Future
thoughts will have you thinking about how many hours you will need to get sleep
before the alarm beeps and you hit the busy streets.
Let me not bore you with this because it is what most of us experience and
everyone will be able to write or say something realistic about Mondays.
A little advice
from me.
Its not as hard as we all label it. Monday for you
should be the start of a new journey
See Monday as the beginning of a new opportunity to rebrand yourself, improve your work ethic and thrive to be a better version of yourself.

Like I do, see
Mondays as the beginning of another weekend. Unify the energy Friday and Saturday
bring and infuse it into the new week.
I am not going to pretend that workdays are all smiley-smiley considering the
fact that mad traffic and SARS conveniently threaten our existence.
However, we should be positive about getting home every day unlocking the door and pulling off our shoes with a smile on our faces.

Trust me Monday is arguably the most challenging, inspiring and motivational day of the
week.
The truth is no matter how much we hate Mondays they remind us of how we utilised
our weekend, prepare us for a new challenging week and lastly herald the arrival
of another new weekend.
So what you
gon’ do? Get into the new week with 100% positivity and watch your week
blossom.
I love
Mondays! Do you?
I love mondays too. Its a day for new opportunities, as it marks the beginning of a new working week.
